Finishing the season in 8th place on the AFL ladder—the Carlton Blues, for the first time in their 160-year history, surpassed 100,000 members, reaching over 104,000.
This season's surprise packet, the Hawks, started with 5 straight losses but ended with 14 wins, 9 losses, and an all-time membership record of 81,622 members. The exciting Western Bulldogs had a strong finish to the season, securing 6th place and successfully breaking their all-time membership record by reaching a tally of 60,830.
And at the very top of the ladder, the Sydney Swans and Port Adelaide, two clubs with rich histories, impressively secured first and second place while reaching more than 70,000 members for the first time in their 150-year existence.
However the finals play out, it’s been an incredible achievement by each club, and we hope every member enjoys the thrill of watching their team battle it out in the uniquely electric atmosphere that is finals footy. 🏆
